Thank you for your support on SQ 793

I would like to thank our patients and the citizens of Oklahoma who voted to defeat State Question 793.

This State Question had a hidden agenda that was difficult for the voter to decipher. I really appreciate voters taking time to listen to both sides and make an informed decision.

Oklahoma has the reputation nationally as having the best eye care in the Nation. The Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in Oklahoma are many of the best in the U.S.  Knowing many of these doctors, I feel comfortable that they will continue to provide patient-centered care without pressure from large corporations focused on profit.

I am excited to know that the next generation of doctors will be able to practice in Oklahoma without corporate restraints.  They will still be governed by State Medical Boards made up of doctors and Oklahoma citizens.
